Guler’s misfortune began during Madrid’s pre-season US tour when, shortly after joining the club for a significant €20 million, he suffered a knee injury in a training session, forcing him to miss all four matches. The severity of the injury led to surgery to remove pieces of his meniscus, delaying his much-anticipated debut.

Real Madrid’s cautious approach to Guler’s recovery initially seemed promising. Ancelotti’s decision not to rush him back into action allowed the teenager to build strength for the demands of the elite level.

Just when Guler was on the cusp of making his debut against Las Palmas, a thigh injury struck, sidelining him for three to four weeks. The club’s careful handling of the situation was intended to prevent further complications.

Recent developments have revealed that Guler’s woes persist, with a new quad problem surfacing during a pre-match training session before the Braga game.

Despite initial hopes that it was a minor issue, the tear in his hamstring turned out to be more serious than anticipated.

Real Madrid’s medical staff, while disappointed with the setback, is now looking at a prolonged absence for the young midfielder, possibly extending beyond the Christmas break.

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s head coach, expressed his disappointment for Guler in a recent press conference.

Ancelotti assured fans that the setback was not a relapse of the previous injuries and emphasized the club’s commitment to allowing Guler ample time to recover fully.

Despite the challenges, Ancelotti remains optimistic about Guler’s future with Real Madrid. He highlighted the young player’s talent and stressed that these setbacks are part of the journey.

Ancelotti drew on his personal experience, recalling a two-year hiatus in his own career and stating that Guler’s future with the club is not in doubt.
