In Baghdad, Iraq, on Sunday, India concluded the Archery Asia Cup 2024 with 14 medals, including nine gold, four silver, and one bronze.

It is noteworthy that India topped the podium in all individual competitions, and secured top spots in menโs and womenโs compound archery events and finished the Archery Asia Cup 2024 with 14 medals, including nine gold, four silver and one bronze medal in Baghdad, Iraq on Sunday.
India emerged victorious on Sunday in the Asia Cup Baghdad archery competition, which included both recurve and compound archery disciplines. Along with showcasing India’s archery skills, the event gave competitors a chance to demonstrate their perseverance in front of an international talent audience.
In both the men’s and women’s compound events, India won first place and dominated the top podiums in all individual competitions. Prathamesh Jawkar defeated colleague Kushal Dalal 146-144 to win the men’s gold medal, while Parneet Kaur defeated Iran’s Fatemeh Hemmati 138-135 in the women’s competition.
Gold medallist Deepika Kumari, a three-time Olympian, defeated fellow countrywoman Simranjeet Kaur 6-2 in the women’s individual recurve competition. Dhiraj Bommadevara won the men’s recurve archery title, defeating Tarundeep Rai 7-3 in an all-Indian final.
The Indian women’s recurve team, which included Simranjeet Kaur, Deepika Kumari, and Bhajan Kaur, won the gold medal after a hard-fought 5-4 shootout victory over Uzbekistan.
To win the gold, Dhiraj Bommadevara, Pravin Ramesh Jadhav, and Tarundeep Rai defeated Bangladesh 6-2. Additionally, Dhiraj and Simranjeet defeated Bangladesh 6-0 in the championship match to earn the mixed team recurve gold medal.
