Massive Apex Legends leaks revealed nine previously unreleased characters and even demonstrated some of their abilities in-game
Because Apex Legends is a live service game, the community is always looking for the next big update or event.
Because Respawn can take a long time to make these announcements, data miners and leakers frequently take the initiative to identify information ahead of time.
The majority of the time, clues come in the form of game files that only provide minor hints, but every now and then, major leaks from the development version of Apex are revealed that should only be available internally at Respawn.
Massive Apex Legends Leaks On Reddit Reveal Nine Unreleased Characters
That’s exactly what happened on March 22, when nine unreleased Legends and their abilities were revealed in a massive leak.
Nine Unreleased Characters Leaked In Apex Legends
Initially just posting a screenshot of the roster with the unreleased Legends on the ApexUncovered subreddit, many people questioned the authenticity of the leak.
However, their misgivings were quickly dispelled when the insider posted a video of the Legends and their abilities inside the Firing Range.
In total, nine unreleased Legends have been revealed, including Conduit, Scryer, Newcastle, Uplink, Vantage, Catalyst, Phantom, Jester, and Caliber.
The massive leak not only revealed the Legends’ names, but also showcased their abilities, which we’ll go over below. It’s worth noting that many of these characters are likely to be reworked or scrapped.
Conduit โ Empathic Shielder
Conduit appears to be a Support Legend who prioritises regenerating allied shields over her own.
Capacitance โ Conduit regenerates shield over time and gains additional regen for each nearby ally.
Tactical: Arc Flash โ Heals targeted allies’ shields at the expense of some of her own.
Ultimate: Alternating Current โ Conduit fires an arc cluster bomb, damaging the shields of those in close proximity to the blasts. This heals Conduit based on the amount of damage dealt.
Scryer โ Haunting Stalker
Scryer appears to be a Recon Legend capable of analysing enemy perspectives and laying traps.
Passive: Spectator โ Optic-Haunt and spectate your killer automatically.
Tactical: Optic-Haunt โ Use a parasite trap to reveal the Target’s Vision.
Shadow Wall โ Unleash a creeping Wall of Darkness that blocks vision and binds enemies.
Caliber โ Apex Arms Dealer
Caliber is an offensive Legend who can store a third weapon, build turrets, and provide ammo for their squad.
Passive: Weapon Sling โ A sling that can be used to carry a third weapon.
Tactical: Suppressor Turret โ Create a turret out of a copy of your active weapon.
Ultimate: Auto Loader โ Deploy a box that feeds ammo directly into the current weapons of nearby players.
Jester โ Tricky Trapper
Jester is a Legend who has the ability to cloak themselves and their teammates, as well as set traps for unsuspecting enemies to walk into.
Passive: Rewire โ Jester can turn any grenade into a surface-sticking proximity mine.
Tactical: Spectre Drop โ Request a drop pod with three spectres to guard a specific area. At any given time, only one set can be active.
Cloak Field โ Creates a temporary cloaking device that hides all players in a small area. Cloak has a duration of 6 seconds.
Phantom โ Agile Assassin
Phantom is a mobile Legend with abilities resembling Pathfinder, Wraith, and Octane.
Passive: Double Jump โ While in the air, pressing the jump button allows you to jump again.
Tactical: Hook Shot โ Attach a hook to a wall and hang from it for a short period of time.
Ultimate: Void Grenade โ A grenade that temporarily transports hit players to the void.
Vantage โ Survival Sniper
Vantage is a Legend who specialises in long-range combat and has their own custom rifle as an Ultimate.
Sniper Kit โ Tactical information is available in ADS unarmed or any long-range scopes (Legend name, shield rarity, team size, and range).
Tactical: Echo Launch โ Launch in the direction of your winged companion, Echo. Tap Q to activate Echo. Holding Q allows you to launch to Echo.
Mark to Kill โ A custom rifle that is going to scan the enemies and increases damage for Vantage and her squad. Vantage’s damage doubles with each successive shot. On marked targets, the team receives a 15% bonus.
Catalyst โ Creative Builder
Catalyst is a character who can use their abilities to build platforms and walls, providing useful cover for their squad.
Passive: Reinforce โ Standing close to your ferro fluid structures, doors, and other Legends placeables strengthens their integrity and allows them to withstand significantly more damage.
Tactical: Ferro Shot โ The shot creates a ramp of hardened ferro fluid on impact, which can be extended with additional shots. It can also be used to build platforms on walls (Max 3 structures).
Ultimate: Iron Tower โ Ferrofluid rises from beneath you, pushing you upwards while forming a tall solid column beneath you.
Uplink โ Satellite Savior
Uplink is a support Legend who can boost consumable effects and even temporarily prevent teammates from going down.
Passive: Network Communion โ Gain 25% Recovery Effects in Signal Range
Tactical: Shield Satellite โ Send out a satellite to follow allies and regenerate their shields and revive them.
Ultimate: Immortality Relay Beacon โ Deployable Satellite Beacon that keeps allies in the signal area from being taken down.
Newcastle โ Mobile Defender
Newcastle is another Support Legend who specialises in shielding allies and keeping them safe after they’ve been knocked down.
Passive: Retrieve The Wounded โ Drag downed allies while using your Revive Shield to revive and protect them.
Tactical: Mobile Shield โ Launch a commandable drone that generates a moving energy shield.
Ultimate: Castle Wall โ Leap and slam to a specific ally or area to fortify a stronghold.
