Although the fight purses have been kept confidential by Saudi boxing officials, it is anticipated that the 34-year-old Joshua will pocket approximately £8 million from his bout against Wallin.
Wilder asserted that the two-time heavyweight world champion is slated to earn over £40 million for his next two fights.
This suggests a potentially more lucrative payday for Joshua in a bout against Wilder compared to Wallin. The Bronze Bomber, set to face AJ in March if both emerge victorious, stated, “Everyone will step into the ring for the right price, especially when there is over $50 million (£40 million) on the table.
“Everything is moving in the right direction now, and the fight will happen. The time is finally here, and people are going to get what they have wanted for years.”
If Wilder’s estimate holds true and Joshua earns around £8 million in his initial fight, the remainder (£32 million) would likely come from his subsequent face-off with the American.
As for 32-year-old Wallin, the exact figure he will earn from the fight remains unclear.
Wallin’s Earning
Wallin reportedly earned just under £200,000 when he fought Tyson Fury in 2019. Despite the uncertainty, it is unlikely that he will surpass his opponent’s earnings, and the £200,000 figure is expected to be substantially increased thanks to the Saudi-backed purse.
Joshua & Wallin’s Net Worth
For those who are curious to know more about the net worth of both fighters till now, let us make it clear, Joshua has accumulated a wealth exceeding £200 million over his career.
In contrast, Wallin is estimated to have earned a more modest £1 million. This substantial difference in wealth also translates into a noticeable contrast in their lifestyles.
