Jermaine Franklin
Anthony Joshua’s opponent Jermaine Franklin is currently ranked #29 in the world and #5 in the U.S.A. Franklin last opponent was British boxer Dillian Whyte whom he lost against via a majority decision. Whyte has also previously went up against AJ back in December 2015, a fight, which he lost.
A tough comeback fight
Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn however, insists that the upcoming fight against Franklin is anything but an easy fight.
Hearn stated:
It’s a really tough fight with loads of pressure to come back because if AJ doesn’t win this fight, then we’ve got a major problem. I believe you’ll see a statement from a guy who is very dangerous, very motivated to become a three-time heavyweight world champion.”
If Hearn is right, then Anthony Joshua is eager for a fight against the American boxer and prove his critics wrong. Anthony Joshua, who recently changed his trailer, stated:
I am looking forward to stepping back into the ring on April 1st at The O2 London. Mentally and physically I feel ready. I want to put on a show and impress my coach as he has high standards.”
