Previously, Ansu Fati was earning an impressive $292,870 (£231,149, €270,100) per week at Barcelona, making him one of the highest-paid players at the club. The loan deal, however, proves advantageous for both parties involved.
It allows Barcelona to adhere to Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations and welcome new signings like Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix. Brighton, on the other hand, has agreed to cover 80% of Fati’s salary, which equates to an estimated range of $205,000 (£161,812, €189,000) to $220,000 (£173,652, €202,850) per week.
Furthermore, Ansu Fati’s loan spell with Brighton provides him with an opportunity to experience European football, as the club is set to participate in the UEFA Europa League this season.
Delving into his Barcelona statistics, Ansu Fati’s early promise was evident during his debut season, and he earned the prestigious number 10 shirt after Lionel Messi’s departure.
With a total of 33 goals and 13 assists in just 121 games, he showcased his prowess and contributed to Spain’s silverware haul. Notably, in the 22/23 La Liga season, Fati achieved 10 goal contributions in his limited gameplay. He has a net worth of $5 million.

Players like Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister, and others earned high-profile moves after impressing on the south coast. Fati’s move to Brighton aligns with their approach, and manager Roberto De Zerbi aims to make Fati a cornerstone of their attacking strategy wearing the number 20 for Brighton.
