She was instructed and trained under coach Mr. Jagdeesh and practiced at the Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial Sports School in the Jind district of Haryana, India. Later, Anshu Malik was coached by sir Ramchandra Pawar.
Anshu Malik’s father’s name is Dharamvir Malik who was an international wrestler himself. He has also worked with Central Industrial Security Force.

Anshu Malik began her career in wrestling by playing in her college team at the Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial Sports School, Nidani. Later her abilities and skills took her to the national level and Anshu Malik conquered a gold medal in the 60kg category at the Cadet Wrestling Championships.
Recently in the year 2020, she achieved one bronze medal in the 57 kg weight category at the Asian Wrestling Championships that were held in Delhi. In the year 2020, she also bagged a silver medal at the women’s wrestling event in the 57 kg category at Individual Wrestling World Cup which was played in Serbia.
At the Asian Wrestling Championships of the year 2021, Anshu Malik achieved a Gold medal along with the Vinesh Phogat and wrestler Divya. She has performed outstandingly well in all of her international and national matches to date.
