Prediction
Andrey Rublev and Francisco Cerundolo are set to have their first encounter tomorrow.
With 29 victories from 38 games and three championships to his credit, the Russian has enjoyed a respectable season thus far. He won the Open 13 in Marseille by defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime in the championship match, and he then won the Dubai Tennis Championships by triumphing against Jiri Vesely. Additionally, Rublev advanced to the Indian Wells Masters semifinals before falling to Taylor Fritz. At the Serbia Open, where he defeated Novak Djokovic in the championship match in three sets, the Russian won his third championship of the year.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Rafael Nadal presented a tough obstacle for Cerundolo to overcome in the Wimbledon first round. He was able to defeat the 22-time Major champion in a set but ultimately lost in four. At the Nordea Open, the 23-year-old received recognition for his hard effort throughout the season. With victories over Pablo Carreno Busta, Aslan Karatsev, and Casper Ruud, he easily advanced to the finals. In the top match, he defeated fellow Argentine Sebastian Baez to win his maiden ATP 250 championship.
Rublev is the clear favourite. The Russian is a much better player on clay and it’s hard to see him not come out on top against Cerundolo.
