This initial jail time was subsequently extended for an additional month multiple times, as bail requests were consistently denied. In total, the Tates spent four months incarcerated.
According to Romanian law, suspects can be detained for up to six months while investigations into their alleged actions unfold. This implies that Andrew and Tristan Tate could have potentially served an additional two months in jail before either being released or facing sentencing.

Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested on December 29 as part of an ongoing investigation by Romanian authorities into alleged sexual assault and exploitation. Both individuals vehemently denied any involvement in illicit activities.
The case against the Tates involves claims made by six women who assert that they were victims of Andrew Tate. Prosecutors allege that the Tates engaged in the manipulation of women to produce pornographic content on demand, which was then utilized to sustain a webcam-based business.
