Tate told his audience that it took five months to construct the Chiron and added that every Bugatti undergoes “intensive testing” before being approved for delivery.
According to Tate, the automobile has several preventive components added to prevent harm to the body panels and interior during testing. The car is sent to the paint lab inside the Atelier once the protection is removed, where a technician polishes the entire thing over the course of two days. After that, a single technician conducts a six-hour product audit to check the complete car for dents or other damage.
Every flaw is noted and fixed, he continued, and before the car leaves the building, every manager — from quality to manufacturing to sales to after-sales to the general manager of the Atelier — inspects it in the light tunnel before giving the all-clear for delivery.
The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport will cost 3.4 million euros at retail, making it a very rare product (around Rs 30 crore INR). Tate’s net worth stands at $250 million.
