Heading to take on Algeria in Cameroon’s FIFA 2022 World Cup Playoffs, goalkeeper Andre Onana suffered a calamitous accident after two cars had a head on collision.
Andre Onana Death Rumors Fake With The Player Alive After Car Accident
With the accident was a severe one with both the cars clobbered as their bonnets were fully destroyed and the pitch was riddled with debris, the Ajax goalkeeper managed to fortuitously make his way out of the accident uninjured. Onana met with the accident on his way to Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon.
While the internet has been alight with rumors of him having died in the accident owing to the gruesome images which emanated, the player is doing well with him having sustained no injuries as well to keep him in contention for his country’s upcoming showdown.
Onana had taken up goalkeeping duties for Cameroon at AFCON 2021 earlier this year. While he was considered as one of the finest shot stoppers in the world at a time, he has gone onto loose his shine ever since he was banned for one year by UEFA after testing positive for Furosemide with him claiming he had accidentally taken his wife’s medication.
He had also gone onto publicly talk about his desire to leave Ajax but had not had a suitable suitor come to croon him.
