Andhra Premier League will be played between Six Franchises. It will kick off on July 6th, 2022, and end on 17th July. All the games of the tournament will be played at the YSR ACA VDCA Stadium. The Andhra Premier League 2022 will follow the IPL playoffs format.

6 teams will play in the Andhra Premier League 2022
The six franchises from Andhra Pradhesh will play in the tournament. The names of the franchises are as follows Uttarandhra Lions, Rayalaseema Kings, Godavari Titans, Coastal Riders, Bezwada Tigers, and Vizag Warriors.
Player Auction took place on June 24
368 players went under the hammer in the auction of APL 2022. Of the 368 players, there are 12 Ranji players who will be considered iconic players. Each team will have 2 iconic players in their squad. Charu Sharma was the auctioneer for the APL 2022 auction. He also did the honors in the IPL 2022 Mega auction too.
Except for the 12 iconic players rest of the players are U-19 cricketers. The base price of 2 Lakh INR is decided for the iconic players.
Players are divided into 4 categories
12 Iconic players are kept in a separate category. In Category, A 48 players are included with a base price of 1.5 Lakh. The third category consists of players from Category B. It comprises 83 players with a base price of 1 lakh INR. The rest of the players having a base price of 50,000 INR are kept in the C category.
Ashwin Hebbar is the most expensive player in APL 2022
The leading run-scorer for Andhra Pradesh in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare trophy has bought by Vizag warriors for 8.7 Lakhs. The 26-year-old will be one of the players to watch out for. Ricky Bhui is the second-highest-paid player in APL 2022 with an 8.1 Lakh INR bid.

Star sports Telugu will telecast the APL 2022 in India. For online broadcasting, Disney+ Hotstar has bought the rights.
