Rashtrapati Bhavan is having the iconic Mughal Gardens which have been renamed as Amrit Udyan, know the 2023 opening date, tickets price and ticket online booking
The British-era Mughal Gardens will be thrown open to the public on 2023, January 31stand were inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu who also gave the consent for its new name which invokes the celebrations connected to India’s 75 years of Independence.

They were initially named Mughal Gardens because they were followed by the Mughal style of garden layout. It was designed by British architect Sir Edward Lutyens at the bidding of Lady Hardinge (the wife of the then Viceroy).
The Centre has endeavored for renaming the places with a connection to India’s colonial past. Last year, Delhi’s Rajpath which is the ceremonial road from which the Republic Day parade passes and its connects Rashtrapati Bhavan with India Gate was renamed Kartavya Path.
Amrit Udyan Inauguration and ticket booking
The Amrit Udyan or Mughal gardens were inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu and then it will be thrown open to the public starting 31 January, 2023. It will remain open on all days except on Mondays which are maintenance days, and on March 18 on account of Holi. From March 28 to 31, the gardens will be open for special categories like Farmers (March 28), differently-abled (March 29), defence personnel, paramilitary forces, and police (March 30) and for women including tribal women’s SHGs on March 31.

Visitors can also reserve time and book their slots for visiting at the gardens in advance at its online site https://rashtrapatisachivalaya.gov.in or https://rb.nic.in/rbvisit/visit_plan.aspx. There is no other fee and even entry is free for the garden but visitors have to register online or before entry at a self-service kiosk at gate no 12 of Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is advisable to book slots online to avoid any kind of rush.
Mughal Gardens capacity and timings
The garden has a limited capacity and it allows guests for visiting in six hourly slots between 10:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs i.e. 10 am to 4 pm. The capacity for the two forenoon slots (10:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs) will have 7,500 visitors during weekdays and 10,000 visitors in each slot on the weekends.
