Amazon Prime Has Struck A New Deal For The Broadcast Rights Of Ligue 1, Know About Its Live Stream In UK, USA, Argentina, India, Australia

Ligue 1 matches will now be available on Amazon Prime after successful negotiations for broadcast rights of almost 80% of matches, know about its live stream in India and Europe

Fans of the Ligue 1 will now have to buy a premium subscription of Amazon Prime of €12.99 a month for the Le Pass Ligue 1 channel,  in order to live stream 80% of matches which results in 300 matches per month for a nominal price.

Amazon Prime has negotiated a fair deal of €250 million per season in exchange for 80% broadcasting rights as compared to their direct competitors Canal+ who are paying €332 million for the rest of the 20% rights.

Ligue 1 took the drastic step of not continuing their existing record €780 million deal with broadcasting giants Mediapro as negotiation broke down because of a payment default. French Ligue did not want to continue this relationship with Mediapro and has waved them goodbye.

Amazon Prime is the new place for Ligue 1 coverage and telecast

OTT giant Amazon Prime will now prepare extensively for the coverage of the French League after securing the broadcasting rights. Fans will be able to catch all the live-action of the French League as Amazon will broadcast 300 matches per month.

Meanwhile, they have also come to a partial agreement with La Chaîne L’Équipe for the coverage of Ligue 2 which is the second division of French football. The Amaury Group channel will broadcast the opening 10 rounds of Ligue 2 after that, all the matches will be streamed on Amazon Prime.

French League have a new plan in order to increase the fan engagement via a new deal with OTT giant Amazon Prime who will now stream 80% of the Ligue 1 matches. It will be available in every major country except India, where the main target audience of Amazon Prime lies.

There is no news as of right now but it is a possibility that in the future Amazon will broadcast the Ligue 1 in India because of its loyal customer base. Meanwhile, you can watch Ligue 1 anywhere despite geographical differences.

What is new in the live streaming

French legend Thierry Henry will be one of the guest’s on the pre-match shows of Ligue 1 alongside Ludovic Giuly, Vitorino Hilton, & Pascal Dupraz to promote French football all around the world. They will do the post-match analysis of the game and provide the audiences with valuable insights into the game.

Also, there is a new feature which is called Stadium FX which will allow the fans to skip the commentary before the match and listen to the ambient sound of the stadium. It will be interesting to see how this new deal with Amazon Prime unfolds ahead of the new season.
