Considering her status as one of the best female boxers of all-time, Serrano will receive 60% of PPV revenue along with $325,000 purse. Meanwhile, Erika Cruz will bag 40% PPV along with $125,00 confirmed payout. Following her resounding victory, Serrano has become the undisputed champion and is set for the biggest payday of her career, when she takes on Katie Taylor.

Thanks to her dominance against Cruz throughout the match, Amanda Serrano bagged an unanimous decision victory by score of 98-92, 98-92, 97-93. Following her victory, Serrano now holds WBO, IBF, WBC, & WBA featherweight titles to become the undisputed world champion. It is now confirmed that Serrano will face-off against Katie Taylor in an epic rematch, which is scheduled for 20th May in Dublin.

Despite her promising start in the opening rounds, Cruz suffered a terrible cut on her forehead when the combatants collided with thirty seconds left in the third-round. Although she dropped her head practically every time she delivered a punch, the brave 32-year-old Mexican southpaw persisted in hitting Serrano. However, Serrano’s right hook to the temple and subsequent left on the chin that appeared to be in trouble for Cruz changed the momentum of the fight.

With each boxer covered in blood, the seventh round saw more back-and-forth fighting. Throughout the round, Serrano avoided the aggressive play of Cruz, who rained down punches on her opponent all the while repeatedly trying to wipe the blood off her face. In the last round of the fight, Cruz fell to the floor but, it was counted as a slip by Cruz.
