Am I Actually the Strongest? features an introverted protagonist named Hart Zenfis who is reincarnated into a new world after reading a series of isekai novels written by Sai Sumimori and illustrated by Ai Takahashi.

On July 1 at 10:30 p.m., Am I Actually the Strongest? will premiere on Japan’s ANiMAZiNG Programming block and ABC Network. Those who have read the manga are quite enthusiastic about the upcoming adaptation, and a new video and key picture have revealed some fresh casting details.

Staple Entertainment, known for its work on Attack on Titan: The Final Season and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, will produce an anime adaptation of the isekai novel Am I Actually the Strongest, directed by Takashi Naoya (who also directed Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru and Tales of Wedding Rings). Scripts are being written by Tatsuya Takashi and Tetsuya Yamada, and character designs are being done by Shoko Yasuda.
In September 2018, Sumimori released the first installment of the light novel series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, and on April 3, 2019, the series began serialization in Kodansha’s monthly shonen Sirius magazine.
