Australian cricketer Steve Smith has won the 2023 Allan Border Medal marking his record fourth win and becoming the third Australian cricketer to do so, know the full winners list of the award
Steve who hails from New South Wales enjoyed a terrific time in the Test arena throughout last year, scoring 863 runs at 71.92, which included three centuries.

The 33-year-old scored an impressive century on a turning wicket against Sri Lanka back in Galle before returning home to score an unbeaten 200 not out against in Perth against the West Indies.
Steve also made impressive performances in the ODI format, where he scored 539 runs at 67.37 out of 11 matches. One of his main highlights was his 105 score against New Zealand in Cairns.
Steve Smith wins the Allan Border Medal 2023
Smith received a total of 171 votes, which helped him win the prestigious medal. He narrowly managed to beat his teammates Travis Head (144 votes) and David Warner (141 votes) in the process.
Smith joins two former Australian captains Ricky Ponting and Michael as the only cricketers to win four Allan Border Medals. The 33-year-old previously won the prize back in 2015, 2018, and in 2021.
Following the ceremony, Smith told reporters:
“It’s very humbling, it makes me feel quite old. I certainly don’t play the game for these reasons. I play to be the best player I can be and help my team have success, whether I’m playing for Australia or New South Wales or the Sixers.”
