Netflix held their Japan Festival on November 9, 2021, and released a 14-minute advertisement for their future Asian films. During the 8-minute mark, the streaming giant aired the Japanese drama Alice in Borderland. According to Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, filming for season 2 has already begun and the cast and crew are eager to continue working.
Season 2 of Alice in Borderland has eight episodes with all of them dropping on 22 December; season 1 had a total of eight.
Alice In Borderland Was Quickly Renewed By Netflix For Season 2
After season 1 ended, viewers all over the world were aware that Robot Communications, the J-production drama’s firm and Netflix were working on a second season. This was made possible by the many “Easter eggs” that appeared in the eighth episode’s climactic scene, where signs for “season 2” can be seen on aeroplanes and buildings.

Although there is a clear relationship to the original Alice in Wonderland story, did you realise that the show’s names have also been greatly influenced by it? Since the Japanese alphabet lacks the letter “L,” “Arisu,” the primary character, is the equivalent of “Alice” in the Japanese language.
The writers clearly paid tribute to the original fairy tale by having characters such as “Chishiya” play the Cheshire Cat, “Hatter” portray the Mad Hatter, and so on.
