If these players want to make it back to their home, they must assemble a full deck. These decks carry each card to make their respective suits with a different meaning and mastering which mean the difference between life and death.
In the Season 1 of the streaming giant’s series, Arisu and his fellow players are tasked with collecting numbered cards as many as possible in order to extend their visas in the mysterious world of Borderland.
Let us remind you, the more cards you collect, the longer you have left to live when players’ visas run out, they’ll automatically get killed.
At the end of the Season 1, the surviving players of the series had collected a total of 40 numbered cards while progressing to phase 2 of the game.
The phase 2 of the game saw its players collecting face cards including Jack, queen and king of each suit. These face cards represent a real person who has yet to face another challenge in order to survive.
For those who are curious to know more about the face cards, let us tell you, 2 of the most notable face cards in Season 2 are King of Spades along with a mercenary who hunts for surviving players whereas another is Queen of Hearts who represents the final challenge that Arisu and Usagi must had to face.
Although the game appears to be a simple one at first, it is more than just to meet the eye.
Each of these face cards in Alice In Borderland fall under a total of 4 suits in a deck of playing cards such as:
Hearts,
Diamonds,
Clubs, and
Spades.
All these suits have slightly different meanings which denote the type of game one plays and the skills they will need in order to survive the game.
Throughout Season 2, the King of Spades card witnesses its players surviving the game while they are being hunted across the city by a dangerous mercenary who will do nothing but kill as many as possible.
