However, the search appears to be coming to a close, with former Indian fast bowler Ajit Agarkar poised to take on the prestigious role on the selection committee. According to a report from PTI, the BCCI is considering eliminating the zonal process, which would make Agarkar the second representative from the West Zone, alongside Salil Ankola.
