The eighth event on the $1.6 million 2022 Meltwater Champions Chess Tour is the Aimchess Rapid, and it will take place from October 14 to October 21. In the preliminary round, winning earns three points while losing earns one point. In the event of a tie, the players will play two games of 5+3, followed, if required, by a game of Armageddon in which White has five minutes to Black’s four and a win for Black qualifies as a draw. Before the end of move 40, offers for draws cannot be accepted.
