India sports authorities, the Indian Olympic Association, BCCI, and a lot many other authorities have announced massive rewards for the Indian champion Neeraj.
Neeraj Chopra Conquered Gold And Made History At The Tokyo Olympics
The gold conquered by Neeraj Chopra is the historic second gold won by India in the entire Olympic history. After the achievement of this milestone, Chopra has been showered with immense love from the netizens as well as sports authorities. Social media platforms are flooded with congratulatory wishes, messages, and posts related to Chopra’s win.
Chopra managed to get this medal by producing an amazing throw of 87.58 m in the second round. The Indian’s have waited for almost 100 long years to get what Neeraj has made possible for them.
Rewards And Prize Money Raining On Neeraj Chopra
The chief minister of Haryana has announced a reward of 6 crores for Chopra whereas the Punjab CM Amrinder Singh has announced 2 crores as reward money for Chopra. The Board of Control of Cricket in India has announced a reward worth 1 crore for the Javelin thrower. The Haryana government has also announced that Neeraj Chopra will be appointed as the head of the underdeveloped Centre for Excellence in Athletics. This center is being constructed in Panchkula, Haryana.
BYJU’S will be giving Neeraj Chopra a reward of Rs.2 crore while IPL team CSK are rewarding him with Rs.1 crore and a special jersey with the number 8758. He’ll also be getting Rs.2 crore from the Punjab government to take his total prize money as things stand to Rs.14 crore.
Neeraj Chopra will be given Rs 6 crore & a class I category job as per our policy. We will be building a Centre of Excellence for athletes in Panchkula, where he will be the head if he wants. Haryana CM Khattar stated, “Neeraj Chopra apart from the reward of 6 crores will receive a class I job by Haryana government and also a piece of land.”
Chopra bagged Gold just an hour after Bajrang Punia’s Bronze. Earlier Ravi Dahiya made the nation proud by conquering Silver in wrestling. All these three athletes hail from Haryana, India. Neeraj is from a small village named Khandra, Panipat. Whereas Bajrang Punia and Ravi Dahiya are residents of Sonipat, Haryana.
