China PR fought back from a two-goal deficit to win the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 final 3-2 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, know the winners and awards list

Korea Republic appeared to be on their way to their first title after establishing a 2-0 lead at halftime, but China PR rallied behind goals from Tang Jiali, Zhang Linyan, and Xiao Yuyi, who scored the game-winning goal deep into added time to give her team a record-extending ninth victory.

China PR went into the final looking for their first title since 2006, up against a Korea Republic team who had never won the prestigious trophy before.

China beat South Korea 3-2 to win the AFC Cup 2022. They had earlier defeated Japan and had moved to the final and took home the championship title.

AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 Winners List And Awards: Golden Boot 

Sam Kerr of Australia earned the Yili Top Goalscorer of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 with an undefeated seven-goal tally. Despite the fact that Australia’s campaign was halted by Korea Republic in the quarter-finals, Kerr’s outstanding performance in the group stage earned her the award.

The Chelsea striker kicked off her campaign with a five-goal haul against Indonesia in their Group B match, moving her four goals above of Tim Cahill as Australia’s all-time best scorer, with Kerr finishing the match with 54 goals overall.

AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 Prize Money 

“In keeping with the AFC’s objective to elevate the standard of its tournaments, the champion of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup will receive a prize money of $1 million,” an AFC spokeswoman said. “The runners-up and losing semi-finalists will earn $500,000 and $150,000, respectively.”

AFC Cup 2022 Youngest Player To Play In The Tournament

Shilky Devi, an Indian defender, is the youngest player in the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup at 16 years and 2 months, and the teenager believes her experience with the senior team will help her at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Shilky is one of 15 players under the age of 25 in the Indian side led by Thomas Dennerby for the AFC Asian Cup, which begins here on Thursday.
