For the first time in the history of the AFC Champions League, a total of 40 teams are participating, know about the venue and stadium for the marquee tournament 

There are a total of three countries hosting the AFC Champions League 2021 for the west region.

AFC Champions League 2021 is the 40th edition of Asia’s premier club football where top teams of Asia compete against each other. Moreover, due to the pandemic, the tournament is played with a little delay. Also, 5 groups have now completed their matches and the matches of the rest 5 are ongoing. So, here is a list of all the venues and stadiums hosting the matches of AFC Champions League 2021.

List of Venue And Stadium Hosting AFC Champions League 2021

There are a total of three countries hosting the matches of the west region of the AFC Champions League. Saudi Arabia, UAE and India will witness the top Asian players playing on their field. So, let’s have a look at the venues and stadiums.

  1. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (India)

Fatorda Stadium which is also known as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is based in Goa. Furthermore, the stadium is the home ground for ISL side FC Goa. All the matches of Group E will be played in this stadium. Group E consists of some good teams like Persepolis, Qatar’s Al Rayyan, and UAE’s Al Wahda FSCC including the host Goa.

The stadium has a capacity of 19,000 fans.

2. King Saud University Stadium (Saudi Arabia)

The stadium will host the matches of Group D including the Qatar side Al Sadd. Also, it is the home ground for Al Nassr’s side and was inaugurated in 2015.

The Stadium has a capacity of 25,000 fans.

3. King Abdullah Sports City Stadium (Saudi Arabia)

The stadium hosted the Italian Super Cup match in 2018 between Juventus and AC Milan. Moreover, it was completed in 2014 and since then hosted some great matches. It is now all set to host the matches of Group B which consists of Al Ahli Saudi FC, Iraq’s Al Shota, Qatar’s Al Duhail, and Iran’s Esteghlal.

The stadium has a capacity of 62,000 fans.

4. Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium (Saudi Arabia)

This Saudi Arabian Stadium will host the matches of Group A. This Group has teams like Al Hilal, Shabab Al Ahli, FC AGMK and Istiklol. It is one of the oldest stadiums to host the AFC Champions League match as it was inaugurated in 1971.

It has a seating capacity of 22,000 fans.

5. King Fahd International Stadium (Saudi Arabia)

King Fahd International Stadium has hosted some great matches like the finals of AFC 2014 and 2017. Moreover, it will host few matches of Group D and Group A.

It has a seating capacity of 67,000.

6. Sharjah Stadium (UAE)

This UAE-based stadium will host some of the matches of Group B. Moreover, the stadium was renovated before the AFC Asian Cup 2019.

It has a seating capacity of 15,000 fans.
