The AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 final draw took place at the Katara Opera House in Doha, and it was just breathtaking.
The prominent names on stage were introduced by Singapore-based football reporter John Dykes.
India will compete in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup in Qatar in Group B alongside Australia, Syria, and Uzbekistan.

Prior to playing Hong Kong in the last qualifying match after the Philippines’ loss to Palestine, India had already qualified. To conclude the season, the Blue Tigers, however, won each game.
At the AFC Asian Cup 2023 draw in Qatar, Australia, Syria, and Uzbekistan were all assigned to Group B along with India.
The Blue Tigers of India have previously competed at the continental level in 1964, 1984, 2011, and 2019. This will be their fifth appearance in the AFC Asian Cup.
Their best finish in Asia was as runners-up in the 1964 competition.

When does the Asian Cup begins?
The AFC Asian Cup 2023 will start on January 12, 2024. On February 10, 2024, the tournament’s championship match will take place.
When does India’s 2023 AFC Asian Cup campaign kicks off?
India will play Australia on January 13, 2024, to kick off their Asian Cup campaign.
The following is the 2023 AFC Asian Cup schedule for India’s groups:
- January 13, 2024 – Australia vs India – Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium
- January 18, 2024 – India vs Uzbekistan – Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium
- January 23, 2024 – India vs Syria – Al Bayt Stadium
The top four teams from each group, together with six group winners and runners-up, will proceed to the round of 16.
If India makes it to the round of 16, its schedule will be as follows:
- Round of 16: January 31 to February 2, 2024
- Quarterfinals: February 4-5, 2024
- Semifinal: February 7-8, 2024
- Final:February 10, 2024
What city will host the 2023 AFC Asian Cup?
The 2023 AFC Asian Cup will be held in eight stadiums, including Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium, Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, and Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 was held in six of these cities.
