In the AFC Asian Cup 2023 final, Qatar defeated Jordan 3-1 at the Lusail Stadium in Lusail on Saturday, February 10 where Akram Afif’s hat-trick of penalties sealed the victory for the hosts.

They advanced to the championship game of this edition by defeating Iran 3-2, and Jordan humiliated South Korea 2-0 to reach their major final.
As a result of this achievement, the hosts have now won the tournament twice in a row, making a strong statement about their development as a nation. Qatar had defeated Japan in the summit match to win the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

Jordan’s lone goal was scored in the 67th minute by Yazan Al-Naimat, while Afif’s penalties came in the 22, 73, and 5 minutes of extra time (90+5). While we now know the winners, fans are curious how much the winners bag along with the trophy. Here is all you need to know about the prize money.

The 2023 AFC Asian Cup winners, Qatar took home USD 5 Million while Jordan, the runners-up bagged USD 3 Million. Not just this, there were individual awards as well, for the players who were impressive throughout the tournament.
Akram Afif, the hat trick hero of the final netted eight goals overall in the tournament. He was awarded with the Top Goalscorer of the AFC Asian Cup as well as the Most Valuable Player.
With three assists and eight goals, including a beautiful cross for Hassan Al-Haydos against China, the 27-year-old continued to be an attackmaker after opening the tournament with a brace against Lebanon.
