Prediction

Adrian Mannarino and Botic van de Zandschulp will meet again for the second Tim win in their ATP career.

After victories in straight sets over Tallon Griekspoor and Jaume Munar, second-seeded Van de Zandschulp has yet to drop a set in the competition. He also defeated France’s Bonzi by using his strong serve to win. In a fantastic display of power tennis, the Dutchman outperformed Bonzi with 50 wins to 24 and 15 aces to three.

As the No. 2 seed, Van de Zandschulp received a first-round bye and has continued to triumph in straight sets all the way through the second round. Van de Zandschulp is seeking his second final berth in 2022 as well as his first career championship in this, his third semifinal.

Meanwhile on the other hand, even though Mannarino is in excellent form, he will have a harder time against the net-charging Cressy. Van de Zandschulp won’t provide a target for the lefty since he likes targets. The 26-year-old is content to rally and hang out at the baseline. With his own backhand slices, he can counter Mannarino’s off-speed play. Van de Zandschulp also possesses a lot more firepower.

Although this should be a more fiercely contested match than their Melbourne match, Van de Zandschulp is expected to win this.
