The Adelaide Oval is a multi-sports ground located in Adelaide, South Australia, between the city centre and North Adelaide. The stadium has a seating capacity of 53,500 seats and serves as the home stadium of the Australian Men’s Cricket Team and the Adelaide Football Club. The stadium was opened in 1871 and comes under the ownership of the Government of South Australia.
Over the years, the Adelaide Oval has made many big records. Notably, the stadium had over 55,000 spectators watching the 2017 Ashes Test—a record for cricket. Similarly, the stadium had over 62,543 spectators in attendance for the 1965 SANFL Grand Final.
