The Adelaide International 1 will be held from January 1–8, 2023, and will feature top tennis players from the ATP and WTA tours. The field is headed by 21-time Major champion Novak Djokovic in this ATP 250 event for men. He is participating in Australia for the first time since 2021 since a visa scandal prevented him from doing so the previous year.
The Serbian is set to meet Russian Daniil Medvedev at the semifinals of the tennis event. In another semifinal clash, Sebastian Korda will lock horns against Yoshihito Nishioka.
Meanwhile, in WTA, Irina Camelia Begu will face off against Aryna Sabalenka and Ons Jabeur, who had a very successful 2022 campaign and will play against Linda Noskova.

Tennis competitions on the 2023 ATP Tour and 2023 WTA Tour include the 2023 Adelaide International 1. It is a joint ATP Tour 250 and WTA 500 competition held in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, on outdoor hard courts.
The event is in its third year for the women and its second year for the men. The competition will be held from January 1–8, 2023, at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre, and will be followed a week later by the 2023 Adelaide International 2, an ATP Tour 250 and WTA 500 event held at the same location. On December 31, 2022, the qualifying rounds took place.
