In an apparent last minute change of plans, Adama Traore has ruled out the opportunity to move to Tottenham Hotspur and instead decided to move back to Barcelona on loan for the rest of the 2021-22 season.
The news of Traore’s move to Barcelona hit the papers right after it became certain that French international Ousmane Dembele was not going to be a part of the Blaugrana’s plans in the near future and that the club was deciding to sell him by the end of this month.
Even though Dembele revealed his strong intentions to dedicate himself to playing under Xavi, Barcelona have now brought Traore to their squad in order to be prepared with the departure of Dembele this month.

- Adama will also be accepting a potential five year deal with Barca, given that the club decides to sign him on as a permanent squad member in the summer.

Traore had signed a 5-year/ 11,180,00 pounds contract with Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. His annual salary amounted to a total of 2,236,000 pounds and in 2021, Traore earned a base salary of 2,236,000 pounds.
Traore has found the back of the net a total of 11 times with 18 assists in 154 games for Wolves. Even though he hasn’t been exceedingly successful at the Premier League club, the Spanish international has played a significant role in the Midlands’ squad, under both Nuno Espirito Santo and Bruno Lage.
