Bengali actor Sonali Chakraborty died at a private hospital based in Kolkata India on Monday following a prolonged illness. She was just 57 years and survived by her actor-husband Shankar Chakraborty and their daughter. Sonali Chakraborty was a well-known face on Bengali television and was suffering from liver ailments for a long time.

Sonali Chakraborty was well known as Shankar Chakraborty’s wife who is also an actor. She came to the limelight after she played role in Bengali movies such as Jeet in 2022 with Rachana Banerjee. Sonali has one daughter who works as an assistant director in Mumbai, India. Sonali Chakraborty began her career with the movies and later on she became a part of popular Bengali Television soaps.
Her husband’s name is Shankar Chakraborty who is an actor.

On the 31st of October 2022 at the age of 57 years Sonali left the world. She got admitted to the hospital on 19th of August 2022 due to liver issues and chronic liver disease but recovered after a few days. Later on she was admitted to the hospital on 30th October 2022 but unfortunately after some time she passed away early morning at 4 am on 31st October 2022 in a hospital of Kolkata.
The West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee paid tribute on social media and gave her warm condolences to her and her surviving family. Since Sonali was a popular television face in Bengal so many people have paid her tribute on social media. Her family has not given any official news regarding the last rites of the actress yet but it is going to be a private affair only.
