He was born to K. S. Murthy (Krishna Murthy) & Vijaya Nirmala and was married to Ramya Raghupathi with him now set to get married for the fourth time to Pavithra Lokesh.
He has three sons named Naveen Vijaya Krishna, Ranveer & Thejaswani. Veteran film actor and film director/producer Krishna is his stepfather. Previously, he was married two times and has two stepbrothers named Mahesh Babu, Ramesh Babu and three stepsisters named Manjula Ghattamaneni, Padmavathi Ghattamaneni & Priyadarshini Ghattamaneni.
62 year old Naresh went to Ramakrishna Mission for high school and Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan for college. Naresh was cast as a youngster in the 1972 film Pandanti Kapuram and later appeared in films such as Kavitha, Santosh Sowbhagyam, and others. In 1982, he began acting as a character in Prema Sankellu, supervised by his mother.
