How Joey Paras succumbed to death?

Following the death of Joey Paras, the sad news was shared on Facebook by his niece, Zciara Shyne Sinchon-Fabian, who disclosed that Paras passed away at 5:40 PM on a Sunday. Along with with the post, she posted a message, which revealed that Paras’ heart had reached a point of no return. Joey Paras revealed his heart condition in July 2018 via an Instagram post, shortly after his hospitalization and successful surgery. At that time, Jose Manalo, Joey’s co-host on Sunday PinaSaya, conveyed his concerns to GMA Network, emphasizing Joey’s dedication and urging him to take a break.

In 2020, Joey faced another health scare when he was diagnosed with Covid-19 and admitted to St. Luke’s Medical Center. However, Joey later tested negative and shared the good news on Instagram, expressing his happiness and determination to fight his health challenges. Subsequently, Joey sought financial support for a second heart surgery, launching a Go Get Funding page with a goal of collecting P750,000. However, the page garnered $69,550 in donations before becoming inactive.

Joey Paras was a versatile artist known for his contributions to numerous films and TV shows. According to My Drama List, he grew up in Manila, Philippines, and studied at the University of Santo Tomas. Besides his acting career, he also ventured into writing and directing short films such as Simsimi, Save the Bed for Lass, Wala Na Bang Ilbang, and Hagod.

He enjoyed a successful journey in the world of theater, starring in various plays, including Goodbye Bhe, Boy Bangs, Happy Is a Sad Name, Danse Macabre, Isa Akong Disney Princess, and Ka-Close Mo Jusko Sobra. Joey Paras made his television debut in the romantic series Maging Sino Ka Man, which aired for 163 episodes from 2006 to 2007.

Additionally, Joey portrayed Dakdak, the leader of the Periko tribe, in the fantasy drama series Mulawin vs. Ravena.
