The American actor, Cliff Emmich, who’s best known for playing the character of Chicago in the 1973 film ‘Payday,’ left us for his heavenly abode, know his cause of death, wife and net worth

The Cincinnati, Ohio, native, who rose to fame for his impeccable work in Clint Eastwood film ‘Thunderbolt,’ and a horror sequel ‘Halloween II,’ passed away at the age of 85.

The tragic news of the actor’s demise was confirmed by his representative. As per reports, the stage actor passed away on Monday, November 28 in his Valley Village home in Los Angeles, California.

As per a report by The Hollywood, the actor passed away after battling long with lung cancer.

The late actor started his career at a very young age via performing on stage when he was a student at Pasadena Playhouse. Soon enough he became a prominent name in the circuit.

Let us remind you, even before starting his journey in film and television, the late actor has already toured in more than 150 cities and 23 states with American Repertory Players.

In 1969, the actor started his acting career when he featured in a film titled ‘Gaily, Gaily.’ Meanwhile he appeared in a number of television shows as a guest.

Although he was working all along, the late actor got the major prominent acting role of his life in 1973 in the movie titled “Payday.”

In the movie, Emmich played the character of a taxi driver named Chicago, who used to drive a Cadillac via different states with a honky-tonk singer Maury Dann in his back seat.

For his acting and portraying the character so well, Cliff received a lot of praise from critics as well as audiences.

Following a year, the actor appeared in Clint Eastwood’s movie “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.” In the movie, he played the character of the Western Union security guard with a porn fetish who’s attracted to long-legged Jeff Bridges.

The actor also received a lot of praise after he appeared in the 5th Season of an versatility show titled ‘Little House on the Prairie,’ in which he played the character of, an embarrassed man whose daughter is ashamed of his father in one of the episodes.

Some of Cliff’s most notable work includes ‘Knight Rider,’ ‘Simon & Simon,’ ‘Strike Force,’ ‘CHiPs,’ ‘MD,’ ‘The Incredible Hulk,’ and ‘Night Court,’ among many more.

Emmich is survived by his nephews, Chuck, Mark, and James, and niece, Shirley. He was single at the time of his death with his net worth at $1.5 million. His height isn’t known.
