On Saturday, Austin Majors was reportedly found dead in Los Angeles. As per reports, he was staying at a homeless housing facility. The cause of death has not been disclosed by the family yet; however, some reports claim that he ingested a high amount of fentanyl, which claimed his life.

His family came forward to officially issue a death statement. It read, “Austin was an extremely loving, artistic, brilliant, and kind human being.”

Who is Austin Majors?

Austin Majors was born on November 23, 1995, in California as Austin Setmajer-Raglin. He has one younger sibling named Kali. Not much is known about his family.

He completed his education as Salutatorian in his High School. Additionally, he received his degree from the UCS School of Cinematic Arts. He was passionate about both directing and making music. Austin’s family also states that he was a committed Eagle Scout.

One of the most iconic roles of Austin Majors is of Theo Sipowicz for 7 seasons of the popular TV show, NYPD Blue. He played the son of the show’s lead actor, Detective Andy Sipowicz. According to the IMBD report, he appeared in 48 episodes from 1999 to 2004. His net worth stood at $13 million.

His other projects include rom-com like “An Accidental Christmas,” “Volare,” and the 2000s show “According to Jim.”

Majors continued to appear in cameos in television shows throughout the 2000s, including roles on “ER” and a two-episode storyline as the voice of Hyllus in the “Hercules” miniseries in 2005. Through 2007, Majors also appeared on NCIS, According to Jim, and Desperate Housewives. 

His last professional credit includes the role of CBS’s “How I Met You Mother” in 2019.” Since then, he has been quite active on YouTube.
