Abdullah Shafique scores four consecutive ducks

Pakistan batsman, Abdullah Shafique became the first ever batsman in T20I history to score four consecutive ducks on Sunday in Sharjah, UAE.

The incident occurred when Fazalhaq Farooqui trapped Shafique lbw on the first ball of his inning against the Afghanistan team. Following the shocking incident, Shafique reviewed the out decision by umpire in disbelief. However, it was evident that the ball hit the stumps and he was quickly dismissed without a single score.

Prior to this match, Shafique got dismissed via another lbw decision for a second-ball duck. in the first match of the ongoing series. Meanwhile, ahead of the current series, Shafique had played three T20Is for Pakistan against New Zealand back in 2020. There too, Shafique was dismissed for a duck in two consecutive T20I innings as well.

Abdullah Shafique brief bio

Abdullah Shafique is a young Pakistani cricketer who was born on 20 November 1999 in Sialkot, Pakistan. Shafique currently plays for the Pakistan national cricket team as well as for the Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League.

The young batsman joined the Lahore Qalandars just recently in 2022. He plays as a batter for both his national and PSL side, and is a prefers a right-handed batting style. Shafique also plays as a bowling occasionally and while doing so plays as a right-arm off break.

Abdullah Shafique is currently 23 years old and stands at a height of 5 ft 10 in (178 cm).
