Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir recently clashed during the RCB vs. LSG match with an alleged conversation between the two now out
Find out what happened between them.
Sunday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match saw a low-scoring contest between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants, with Faf du Plessis’ team winning by 18 runs.
Full conversation between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir revealed as IPL fight video goes viral
According to an eyewitness to the fight, the moment that everything started was when Kyle Mayers asked Virat Kohli why the RCB star was constantly abusing him.
“You saw on TV that Mayers and Virat were walking side by side for a few metres post match. Mayers asked Kohli why was he constantly abusing them and Virat, in turn, questioned why was he (Mayers) ‘staring’ at him? Before that (Amit) Mishra had complained to umpire about Virat constantly abusing Naveen (ul-Haq), who is a No. 10 batter,” the eyewitness said to news agency PTI.
The eyewittness then reveals the exact words that Kohli and Gambhir said to each other during the heated altercation, “Gautam, sensing that things could turn ugly, pulled Mayers and told him not to have a conversation, when Virat made a comment. The heated exchange that followed seemed a bit juvenile.”
“Gautam asked ‘Kya bol raha hain bol'(What were you saying?) and Virat replied, ‘Maine aapko kuch bola hi naahin, aap kyon ghus rahein ho’ (Why are you coming in between when I haven’t told you anything).
“Gautam responded, ‘Tuney agar mere player ko bola hai, matlab tune meri family ko gaali diya hai. (You abused my player and that’s like abusing my family) and Virat’s reply was, ‘Toh aap apne family ko sambhal ke rakhiye’. (Then you take care of your family).
“Gambhir’s final reply before they were separated was, ‘Toh ab tu mujhe sikhayega…’ (So now I have to learn from you…).”

Gautam Gambhir was selected Man of The Match but he gave his award to Virat Kohli because he scored his first hundred.

That was so savage from Gautam Gambhir.
Actually, it was Kohli who did try to do the damage control.
It was Kohli who did try to beef with a senior player like Amit Mishra & a youngster like Naveen Ul-Haq.
But, Kohli's PR would say otherwise. pic.twitter.com/QzjqmQbguT— S. (@pullshotx45) May 1, 2023
Gambhir won 2 trophies in 6 years of captaincy, while shameless Kohli couldn't win even a single trophy in 10 years of captaincy.

However, the fight between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir became the main topic of conversation rather than RCB’s outstanding bowling performance in the game. The two legendary cricketers got into a furious argument after the game about specific events that happened during the match’s closing stages.
The spat got so ugly that the umpires and other players had to cool down both sides. Apart from this, both sides were also penalized for their actions. However, it appeared that the foundation for the conflict had already been laid since 2013. So, let’s have a look at every event in chronological order:
Timeline of Kohli-Gambhir Clash
It was difficult to imagine that the Kohli-Gambhir friendship, which got off to a good start when the latter gave the former his Player of the Match award for his first-ever international century in an ODI against Sri Lanka in Kolkata, would go in a purely negative direction.
The origin of the ongoing feud between Gambhir and Kohli can be traced back to the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL), when the former was captaining Kolkata Knight Riders and the latter was leading Royal Challengers Bangalore. During their match at Chinnaswamy, Gambhir said something to Kohli after he got out, which led to a heated exchange between the two.
Three years later, in an IPL game between RCB and KKR, their rivalry erupted again after Gambhir tossed the ball toward the non-striker’s end when there was no prospect of getting a run-out.
Over the year, this rivalry grew, and Kohli ignored Gambhir even in the Test lineup. Under Kohli’s leadership, Gambhir did make a comeback to the Test team, but he was ultimately discarded after two matches.
Although Gambhir stated after his retirement that he held no grudges against Kohli, their recent altercation during an IPL match painted a different picture. Even when LSG earlier won the match against RCB at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Gambhir and LSG players seemed to be overjoyed with their victory.
In the recent match, Kohli, who didn’t say anything openly, also unleashed his full fury against LSG. Unfortunately, this time around, excessive happiness led to argumentative exchanges between Gambhir and Naveen-ul-Haq.
Naveen-ul-Haq, an LSG bowler, and Kohli were spotted arguing as the players shook hands following the game. Glenn Maxwell of the RCB intervened to stop it. Later, Kohli was seen having a short chat with LSG opener Kyle Mayers. However, Gambhir then interrupted their conversation and took Mayers away.
Soon after, Gambhir was seen storming towards Kohli while being restrained by LSG players, including injured captain KL Rahul. But finally, they began to argue. Gambhir appeared to be the more agitated of the two, given the fact that LSG players and support personnel continually stopped him from going toward Kohli.
Soon, other players separated them and broke their spat.
