One of the most awaited question for he cricket fans ahead of the forthcoming edition of the T20 World Cup later this year was if South Africa’s AB de Villiers would be returning to the circuit.
Having retired from all formats of the game, AB de Villiers had expressed a desire to once again step out onto the pitch. It sparked speculations of him once again donning South Africa’s colors.

However unfortunately for his manifold supporters, AB de Villiers will not be returning to the international setup. Cricket South Africa broke the news as they revealed the country’s squad for the upcoming series against West Indies.
Releasing a statement, CSA spoke about its decision to keep AB de Villiers away from the side’s ranks.
“Discussions with AB de Villiers have concluded with the batsman deciding once and for all that his retirement will remain final,” the statement read.
De Villiers had been in talks with head coach Mark Boucher about a return to the limited-overs side following his retirement from all international formats in May 2018.
