Aaron Judge latest injury update today, report and return date news

Yankees star Aaron Judge suffered a minor setback on his right hip during Thursday’s game against the Rangers, find out he latest update on the injury and report as he undergoes scans

The Bronx Bombers’ captain believes the injury isn’t too serious, but he could however sit out a few games on the sidelines.

Prior to the game on Thursday, Judge had already told reporters that he felt a slight on his right hip after sliding awkwardly into third base while making a steal attempt against Minnesota on Wednesday.

Judge, who is the reigning American League MVP returned for Thursday’s game against despite the setback.

After striking out twice, Judge appeared to tweak something during the top of the fourth inning while at the plate and left the game shortly after.

Following the game, Judge revealed why he was forced to step off the diamond so early. He revealed:

Just a little grab in the hip area. After that head-first dive the other night, kind of the whole right side’s been locked up. It wasn’t until the second-to-last swing that at-bat I kind of felt something grab and they kind of thought it would be best just to kind of shut it down and see how we feel after a couple days.”

When reporters asked Judge if he would sit out the remainder of the four-game set vs. Texas, Judge did not confirm anything. He simply said:

I don’t have the answer to that. We’ll take it day to day and see how things feel.”

According to the Athletic reporter Brendan Kuty, Judge is undergoing an MRI scan on his hip. Although the reports of the scan are still not out, the Yankees are already taking measures following the setback. The team have proceeded to call up outfielder/first baseman Jake Bauers from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
