Ever since the AAP formed the new government in India, such incidents of unabated and unbridled violence have only increased manifold. The recent incidents which took place in Patiala were a testament to the narrative with Khalistanis and Nihang sikhs out for blood as they waved swords and attacked Hindus and stormed the Kali Mata Mandir.

AAP as a party has on a string of occasions been accused of being pally with such elements with rafts of people accusing them of being funded by Khalistan movements from around the world. And while the party’s machinery has gone into overdrive since forming the government in Punjab, filing FIRs and sending the Punjab Police to anyone’s premises who makes such claims, Harpreet Singh Bedi has unfortunately come out of syllabus.

The party’s leader in Himachal Pradesh, Harpreet is an open Khalistani supporter with his tweets issuing a clarion call for the creation of Khalistan going viral. He’s seen tweeting on a string of occasions for the demand of Khalistan with him now having gone onto delete his account after the colossal backlash.

There’s meanwhile no statement from the party or its convener Arvind Kejriwal on Harpreet’s abhorrent tweets, much like the deafening silence mantained over party leader Nisha Singh who was jailed for 7 years for inciting violence in Haryana.
