Jack Grealish is all set to make the move to the Premier League champions Manchester City with the club breaking the bank for the English midfielder
For the last couple of seasons, Jack Grealish has been hot property in the Premier League.
While Aston Villa managed to hold onto their integral attacking name despite serious interest from Manchester United, the club is all set to finally part ways with Grealish. As per Jim White, Manchester City are set to indulge in Grealish’s services with a 100 million pound transfer in the pipelines.
Jack Grealish To Manchester City Transfer All But Wrapped Up
While there’s no official confirmation from either side, Manchester City have already sent in their offer for the Englishman, a staggering 100 million pound deal which is enough to sway the wind in City’s favour.
Jim White broke the news on talkSPORT saying, “Villa haven’t confirmed it, there is no confirmation coming out of Man City, but talkSPORT sources tell me it’s as good as done.
“The fee will be £100m and Jack Grealish will join Manchester City.
“I received the news just as I was coming on air, it’s very close to completion, it’s very close to being done.”
The gargantuan 100 million pound fees would see Grealish become the most expensive transfer in the Premier League as things stand. As of now, the 89 million pounds Manchester United paid to immerse in Pogba Paul is the most any club has paid for a player.
Manchester United are said to have tabled a 75 million pound bid for Jack Grealish last season but the club failed to pull the transfer off. Despite being kanckered with injuries in the 2020-21 season, Grealish’s stock has only risen owing to his ability to both score and assist.
Manchester City Pushing Hard For Harry Kane Transfer
Despite already being bestowed with a slew of worldclass players, City are not shying away from opening the bank for new names. The club is said to be in the market for Tottenham’s Harry Kane as well, a transfer which Pep Guardiola is pushing hard for.
The reigning Premier League champions are striving to replace Sergio Aguero who departed on a free transfer to Barcelona. Any potential transfer fees for Kane would easily eclipse the most expensive Premier League transfer with Tottenham set to settle for anything above 100 million pounds only for their key attacking face.
