In his announcement, Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal, mentioned that Delhi’s first ever shopping festival will be held in 2023. The 34-day-long festival will take place from January 28 to February 28. The festival will take place in all the popular shopping spots and malls of Delhi, where over 200 concerts, games, and live shows for entertainment and other events are to be organized.
The tickets, stall booking and registration details will be announced in the impending days.
The shopping festival is part of the Delhi Government Rozgar Budget that was proposed by the AAP Government to boost employment, increase the growth of businesses and ultimately enhance the overall economy of the country’s capital. Along with the entertainment events, it will also have spirituality, gaming, wellness, and technology exhibitions, catering to people from different sections of society.
The festival will serve as another reason to increase tourism in the city. They aim to create travel packages with travel and accommodation coverage through travel agencies and attract as many tourists as possible from across the country. Later in the day, he announced the festival in his digital press conference. He also said, “Those who are not in Delhi should block the dates and book their tickets to attend the shopping festival. For 30 days during the festival, Delhi will be decked up like a bride. All major markets and malls will be decorated. It will offer an unparalleled shopping experience to people.”
