Betvictor Snooker Championship League Schedule, Format, And Venue
At the Morningside Arena in Leicester, England, the 2022 Championship League will be held from June 28 to July 29, 2022. The tournament will feature 128 players. The competition starts with 32 rounds of group matches, with four participants in each group. Using a two-table layout in the arena, two groups are played to a conclusion every day throughout four blocks: from June 28 to July 1, from July 4 to July 7, from July 11 to July 14, and from July 18 to July.
Tickets can be purchased from here.
Six matches are played in each group during the round-robin competitions. All games in group play are best-of-four-frame affairs, with the winner taking home three points and the loser receiving one. Points scored, frame differential, and head-to-head outcomes between players who were tied are used to decide group placements. The highest break made in the group is then used to break any remaining ties.
The top 32 competitors advance to the group winners’ stage, which consists of eight groups of four competitors. The final will occur later that day, and the eight champions from the group winners’ stage advance to the two final groups. The champion receives the Championship League crown and a spot in the Champion of Champions in 2022.
