What Is PML-N:
A centre-right, liberal-conservative political group in Pakistan is called the Pakistan Muslim League. It is one of the three mainstream political parties in the nation, together with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Muslim Party (PPP). After the Islamic Democrat Alliance was dissolved in 1993, former prime minister Sharif created the organization.
The party supports free-market economics, privatization, fewer taxes, and private property rights as part of its broadly conservative agenda. Despite historically supporting conservative values, the party’s campaign philosophy and programme have shifted toward liberalism in recent years when it comes to sociocultural concerns.
In the polls, the party has lost to PTI both in the central government and also the province administration of its bastion Punjab. Underneath the direction of Sharif’s younger brother Shehbaz, it is the primary ruling party in Parliament as of 2022. Maryam Nawaz is anticipated to serve as the party chairman in the national elections in 2023.
