Bianca Andreescu vs Caroline Garcia

Caroline Garcia fought from a set and a break down against resurgent 2019 US Open winner Bianca Andreescu to win her first WTA singles title in three years. Garcia was also up 2-0 in the final set when Andreescu took a 7-6(5), 4-2 lead. Garcia then won four straight games to tie the match.

Garcia won with a score of 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4 in the match’s decisive game by holding service after falling behind 0-30. At 30-30, she delivered a crushing forehand winner to win the match, and after Andreescu’s final ball floated long to complete the two hours and forty-two-minute match, she fell to the ground in jubilation.

Makoto Ninomiya/Eri Hozumi vs Erin Routliffe/Alicja Rosolska

Eri Hozumi and Makoto Ninomiya won their third championship of the year. The top seeds defeated the No. 2 seeds Alicija Rosolska and Erin Routliffe in a set tiebreak with a score of 6-4, 6-7(5), [10-5].

All three of the top seeds’ title-winning finals this year were won in deciding sets, while each of their four victories during the course of the week required a match tiebreak. In both their triumphs in the first round and the semifinals, they averted a match point.

The winner of the singles, Caroline Garcia along with the trophy and 280 WTA points will bag €26,770 prize money and the runner-up Bianca Andreescu will go with 180 WTA points and $33,195 prize money.
