WHAT IS THE SUMMER BREAK 10K CHALLENGE?

The current fad is the 10K Summer Break competition, which urges white artists to take a short break until September 22nd. The challenge aims to provide minorities the freedom to produce material and get acknowledgment for it.

“Don’t make any more TikTok material till September 22nd,” she continues. To be honest, you all deserve some respect considering each day is a white person’s day and you must be fatigued. So, black indigenous and some other racial minorities, sit back, observe, relax, and genuinely shows how different you are because we got it from here.”

Tory goes on to say that these artists have the ability to enjoy, remark on, and even share the work of others.

HOW PEOPLE HAVE REACTED TO THIS:

The majority of TikTok replies have been supportive, with some users believing that minority producers should be given the opportunity to showcase their skills.

There has already been much controversy regarding minority creators not receiving the accolades they deserve. When TikTok sensation Addison Rae arrived on Jimmy Fallon’s show, this is becoming a hot topic. In it, she demonstrated some prominent dancing movements at the time.

People were disappointed, however, because the presentation failed to recognize the true authors of the dance moves. Jimmy swiftly corrected his error by providing a forum for all of the artists to showcase their dance abilities.

PREVIOUSLY, TIKTOK HAD Coordinated A BLACK TIKTOK STRIKE:

Last year, some black content creators said they were going on strike. Because they felt the platform did not provide them a voice.

Many producers have claimed that they would not make any new dancing videos. And will go on strike until consumers agree to give artists the credit they deserve. The walkout lasted a few days and raised attention to a critical issue. Everyone would have to have an opportunity to be heard on the program.
