Take a look at the recent highlights of Ben Simmons vs Hawks in Game 5 after a frustrated Philadelphia fan teaches the Australian star on how to shoot free throws.

The Philadelphia 76ers have just played one of the worst halves of their entire 2020-21 NBA season. After draining a 26-point lead, the 76ers have been stunned at home by the resilient Atlanta Hawks yet again.

If throwing away a 18-point lead in Game 4 was not enough for the 76ers, they have gone one step ahead in Game 5 and have lost ever more devastatingly.

This led to the fans at Wells Fargo Center quite upset. In particular one such fan, ho decided to coach Australian play-maker Ben Simmons on how to shoot free throws from the stands.

Ben Simmons vs Hawks Game 5 Highlights: Simmons Badly Misses Free Throws

The miss was just one of a handful for Ben Simmons in Game 5. The Sixers star went a miserable 4-for-14 from the charity stripe, finishing with just 8 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists.

While the missed point above was simply to pad their monstrous lead at the time, the misses indeed piled up in a big way as the Atlanta Hawks completed a spirited comeback to take Game 5, 109-106.

Not only Simmons, but even Joel Embiid missed a pair of crucial foul shots with the game hanging in the balance. The MVP runner-up and 86% free-throw shooter, drew a trip to the line down three with 10.9 seconds left to play and proceeded to miss both.

Hawks vs 76ers Game 5 Report

The entire Philadelphia team apart from Seth Curry and Joel Embiid managed to score only 6 points in the whole of the second half of Game 5. While Trae Young received continuous help from his teammates, Philly was left even more vulnerably at the back court.

Having said that as it stands, the Hawks have taken a commanding league in this Eastern Conference semi-final series 3-2. Undoubtedly the underdogs of the NBA playoffs can clearly cause a massive upset if they end up winning the next game in front of their home fans.
