Girls’ Generation, the iconic second-generation K-pop group, reunites to record their first album in five years and debut their reality show Soshi TamTam, know its cast and release date
Fans were overjoyed when Girls’ Generation aka SNSD revealed not only a reunion but also a comeback for their debut anniversary festivities. When YoonA revealed that the group had begun to meet often to record their new album, it still didn’t feel genuine.
While most ageing groups merely release a single or compilation album of old favourites and then disband, fans were ecstatic when it was revealed that Girls’ Generation would be releasing a brand new album. If that wasn’t enough, their newest reality programme, ‘Soshi TamTam,’ has been touted as a genuine return activity.
‘Soshi TamTam’ Girls’ Generation Reunion Reality Show Schedule, Release Date, Cast, Plot And Story
It’s been quite some time since everyone’s favourite second-generation female trio produced new songs. Following the release of their last group album, ‘Holiday Night,’ in 2017, the members have been busy with their individual projects. Fans had no clue that following the promotions, they would be unable to watch Girls’ Generation for an extended period of time. Some of the members also quit their label, SM Entertainment, and the surviving members formed the sub-unit OH!GG. OH!GG was likewise dormant for a time before rejoining in late 2021 for SM’s ensemble album ‘SMCU Express.’ We did persuade all eight members of Girls’ Generation to reunite in September 2021 on the variety show ‘Yoo Quiz on the Block,’ but that was it.
When will Girls’ Generation’s reality programme premiere?
Fans no longer have to wait since Girls’ Generation is set to reunite as a group once more. Along with their new album, they will be filming their reality programme ‘Soshi TamTam,’ which has already been scheduled for release.
The first episode of ‘Soshi TamTam’ will air in the first week of July 2022. Fans also praised the show’s smart moniker, which is a play on the Korean term ‘ho shi tam tam,’ which indicates a tiger eagerly watching its prey. With 2022 being the year of the tiger, people are eagerly anticipating the female group this year.
Where can I see ‘Soshi TamTam’?
JTBC will telecast Girls’ Generation’s reality programme. JTBC’s official YouTube account will also include clips of it.
What exactly is ‘Soshi TamTam’?
JTBC will create the reality programme, which will be a mash-up of a documentary, reality show, and game show. Insiders are excited because the producing director is PD Jung Seung-il, who is known for creating JTBC’s new reality show ‘One Tree Table’ as well as the 2019 reunion show for first-generation girl group Fin.K.L, who, like Girls’ Generation, went on an indefinite hiatus after their iconic reign in the early 2000s.
