The late musician died at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) on Saturday morning at the age of 72 and he passed on around 10 am. He died as a result of a stroke he had suffered a few days back.

Osayomore Joseph Music Career And Songs
Osayomore Joseph started his musical career as a member of the Nigerian army officers’ mess band when he was just 19 years old. Osayomore honed his flute and guitar talents while he was a part of the band. In 1976, Joseph branched out and started publishing his own music, inspired by Sir Victor Uwaifo, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, and King Sunny Ade.
Later on, he returned to Benin for pursuing his career, which was gaining popularity among the people of Edo in Benin, after releasing several albums between the years 1976 and 1979.
Osayomore Jospeh has more than 104 albums under his belt and he used to release a new one every two years. Forever, My Name Is Money, and Fire on the Mountain are two well-known albums. Since then, Osayomore Joseph has pushed artists like Advisor Nowamagbe to use their music as a form of advocacy.
