PDC World Cup of Darts 2022 Tournament Format
The top eight teams will be seeded in the first round, with the remaining 24 teams seeded in the second round. As in previous years, the competition will be a straight knockout. There were rumours that a new format, similar to the 2022 Premier League Darts, might be introduced, but that was put on hold for at least another year.
A best-of-nine-legs pairs match will be held in the first round. The second round, quarter-finals, and semi-finals will all be two best-of-seven singles matches in the meantime. If the scores are tied, a best-of-seven legged doubles match will be played to determine the winner.
